All in Ghost Story
As we finish the week our young protagonist will spend a second night in the haunted castle and lose some money playing ninepins.
Today our young protagonist will spend the first of three nights in the haunted castle and experience some - interesting - ghosts.
'Richmodis of Aducht' is a non-ghost story all about true love, the plague with grave robbers sprinkled in for good measure.
I'm a huge fan of traditions, and one of my absolute favorites is our annual reading of 'The Legend of Stingy Jack'. There's something about the Devil getting tricked and our "hero" Jack still getting what comes to him that makes this story almost perfect.

The ghost in 'A Misfit Ghost' is exactly the kind of specter you'd like to come across in real life. Pretty much the exact opposite of 'The Phantom Hag'.

This week I have two new ghost stories for you, as well as our annual telling of 'The Legend of Stingy Jack'. Our first tale is a properly creepy ghost story from a small town in France.

'The Phantom Train of Marshall Pass' is the kind of ghost story that I loved as a child. There was nothing better than reading a ghost story about travel while you were traveling.😁

Our final story from California this week, 'The Queen of Death Valley', isn't really a ghost story - but it certainly isn't a happy tale either.

Heading back to "Myths and Legends of Our Own Land" by Charles Skinner I'm correcting a grave wrong today and Friday with two ghost stories from California, beginning with 'The Spook of Misery Hill'.
