To finish off our week of French stories I'm going to ease into next week's set of Aesop's Fables with the French version of an Aesop classic, as told by Jean de la Fontaine. This is 'The Fox, the Monkey and the Other Animals'.
In Part 2 of the story of Rosette we get a first glimpse into what the fairy Puissante, her Godmother, has in store for her as well. We also get to meet the brave Prince Charmant.
In 'The Farm', the first part of "The History of Princess Rosette" we get introduced to the Princess, her Parents, Sisters and her Fairy Godmother. Because every Godmother is a Fairy Godmother! :)
It's been 4 years since we last told this tale and since it's one of my absolute favorites I'm happy to once again share the classic French tale of that most clever cat, 'The Master Cat, or Puss in Boots'.
Charles Perrault's version of the classic 'Cinderella' may be the closest to the Disney version, but that doesn't make it any less special. Not at all.
In 'The Fishing' Henry once again relies on an old friend to help him out of a tight spot as he overcomes the final obstacle on his way to the garden at the top of the mountain.
In Part 5 of the tale of "Good Little Henry" we get yet another challenge from the genii of the mountain, and Henry gets help from an unexpected friend.
